BLOKES are volunteer groups of men who do chores around the neighbourhood for people who need help. For example, chopping wood for widows and repairing decks for the frail.

Christians Against Poverty

The CAP centre delivers money and budgeting education to ordinary Kiwis through CAP Money, as well as CAP debt help, which is a specialised financial and personal support service to help people struggling with debt.

Northcote Baptist Community Preschool

As a Baptist sponsored preschool, quality care is given in the context of a Christian community that supports families. We provide a safe physical, emotional, social and spiritual environment where learning is challenging exciting, stimulating and fun. The centre is registered with the Early Childhood Section of the Ministry of Education and is licensed for 35 children from 2-5 years old and 5 from 0-2 years.

Christian Trust and Budgeting Service

Practical advice and financial assistance is available where needed. The trustees seek to help people through financial difficulties.

Food Bank

The Food Bank provides donated, non-perishable food to people and families who have fallen on hard times.

More Than Music

Bring your pre-schoolers for a morning of music, craft and fun. This is a great time to meet other mums while enjoying your own child(ren). Wednesday 10.00am during the school term (in church foyer).

Neighbourhood Craft

Held on Tuesdays at 9.30am during the school term at the church, Neighbourhood Craft offers a relaxed morning where people interested in arts and crafts gather to make items like teddy bears, patchwork, fabric craft and painting.

Opportunity Shop

The Op Shop is in the Northcote Shopping Centre. Donations of china, jewelry, linen, books, and clean, ironed, tidy clothing are welcome. The church’s charity retail store was established in 1968 and provides clothing and small household items at minimal cost.

The Shed

The Shed accepts donations of furniture and appliances for distribution to people in need.
